Well Dweller Silver Ring: Damage Trinket and Its Prices

Silver Ring is the only damage trinket in Well Dweller with no condition attached: 5 slots of your budget buy damage that is always on. It is also the most expensive item in Looter's shop at 800 currency, and one of only two trinkets that cost 6 slots.

What Silver Ring does

Because the bonus is unconditional, Silver Ring is the trinket that most damage builds converge on after they stop experimenting. The catch is the slot cost: at 6 slots you are paying more than any other item except Silver Spoon, and that is before you decide whether to upgrade it.

What Silver Ring costs in total

So Silver Ring is not a 800-currency decision, it is an 800-currency decision plus two Workshop Tokens if you want the damage bonus at its listed maximum. Both upgrade tiers cost one Workshop Token each no matter what discount you have, and upgrading never increases the slot cost - the game states this on the upgrade screen itself.

Looter's shop unlocks once you meet him in Hunter's Cabin, the second area. After that, he is available in the tents for the rest of the run, and the stock includes trinkets, oil vessels and trinket slots - see Well Dweller Looter's shop: stock, prices and slots.

Note on ordering: Looter's stock is the same list wherever you meet him, so you can buy Silver Ring late without losing access to it. Players have confirmed there is no point of no return - after the Queen you return to the map and can keep collecting.

Silver Ring versus the conditional damage trinkets

There are four damage trinkets and they cost 5 or 6 slots:

One slot buys unconditional uptime. Whether that is worth it depends on your play: if you spend most of a boss fight below half health, Rusty Fork gives you the same bonus for one slot less, and one slot can matter when the alternative is running a 1-slot utility item like Spider's Web alongside it.

Not a flat upgrade: the tier wordings are slight, moderate and significant in all four cases. No allowed source publishes the actual percentages, so this page describes tiers by their in-game wording rather than inventing numbers.
