Well Dweller Bundle of Hair: Ground Slam Ember Blast

Bundle of Hair costs 4 trinket slots and makes your ground slam create a blast of embers. It is one of the earliest trinkets available, and it is the one the game displays in the trinket menu when it explains slot costs - the screenshot on Well Dweller trinkets shows exactly that.

What Bundle of Hair does

There are no upgrade tiers, so 4 slots buys you one fixed effect. Its value depends entirely on how often you use the ground slam, which is a movement and combat input rather than a dedicated attack.

Where to get Bundle of Hair

Region: Night Garden, the mixed-blue starting area.

Abilities needed: none. The Gamer Guides checklist does not gate this pickup on an ability.

Route (Gamer Guides' description): complete the platforming challenge room on the lower level of Night Garden to earn the trinket.

Where Bundle of Hair fits in an early build

At 4 slots, Bundle of Hair is in the middle of the slot range, so the question is whether an area-of-effect attack earns its place over the conditional damage trinkets that cost 5:

• It costs no currency. Night Garden is early enough that 200 to 800 currency is a real sum, and this pickup is free.
• It works with what you have. The ember blast does not need an ability, a workshop token or a shop unlock.
• It competes with the healing trinkets. Hunter's Locket is also 4 slots and is available at roughly the same point. If you are dying more than you are surrounded, the Locket is the better use of the same four slots.
